We are in this

I aggravated a wound

I approached it with science

Instead of a mind

I imagined in my head a sea

It devoured everything

This consciousness

No religion a warm blanket 

Over reason

I found the shadow of spirit

A veiled man on the shore 

Looking east

I found faith that reached

And then receded 

A snake coiled 

In the hand of a woman

If this is knowledge

Then there are no scholars

I said that I believed

In the science of the leviathan

That conquered

The deep despair of the mind

This is a god or his shadow
